Two-Week Torturefest Update
Greetings,
The Two-Week Torturefest has no tentative date, first of all. Please give me some time to watch fourteen awful films; trying to watch them all in a row is…well, it’s depressing, for lack of a better word.
Anyway, it will happen. You guys earned it, and hopefully I do manage to make you laugh for two straight weeks. You voted on absolutely horrible scraps of “helluloid” for me to waste my time with (not that I have a problem with that–I’m actually curious about a few of these). And so when the T’fest does come around (I’d estimate sometime between January and March), you will be reading my sarcastic laments over having watched the following films:

Day One – Justin Bieber: Never Say Never

Day Two – Xanadu

Day Three – Last Action Hero

Day Four – Wild Wild West

Day Five – Maximum Overdrive

Day Six – Crossroads

Day Seven – The Cat in the Hat

Day Eight – Leonard Part 6

Day Nine – Supergirl

Day Ten – Glitter

Day Eleven – The Last Airbender

Day Twelve – Jack and Jill

Day Thirteen – Battlefield Earth

Day Fourteen – Alone in the Dark
Consider each day of both weeks a blaring “I do this because I love you all.” Blaring as in 96-point font size, if that helps any. If you pity my soul for pitting itself against those listed above, please do not try and back me out, as I have already watched and finalized reviews for The Last Airbender, Xanadu, and Wild Wild West.
One final note: if any of you have artistic skill (I sure don’t!) and would like to design a logo for the Two-Week Torturefest, please send your submissions to cinemaniacreviews[at]gmail[dot]com by Tuesday, January 22, 2013. I’d highly appreciate it.

I’ve seen a few of these and agree that they are terrible. I look forward to your reviews.
I’ve actually heard “Never Say Never” is not that bad, and I am a fan of “Last Action Hero” as a purely popcorn flick,
Have fun.
Interesting. Hmm… But I like Maximum Overdrive…
I love Maximum Overdrive…its one of my “so bad its good” movies.
However, some of those, I would never watch so I applaud your effort and look forward to your reviews
I’m actually having trouble getting ahold of Maximum Overdrive. It’s not at my local library, nor is it playing on TV, nor is it on Netflix, nor is it anywhere else where I can grab it out. My best bet is to get it from Amazon. It’s $20 for a triple-pack, alongside Children of the Corn and (I believe) Creepshow. But as I also just got an FYE gift card for Christmas, I should check there first. I’m a big Stephen King fan (hence my excessive rambling
) so I won’t substitute it out.
You shouldn’t! Its an absolutely enjoyable movie. My bet is that FYE would have it…we don’t have FYE in Canada but I went to one in Plattsburgh recently and it seemed to have everything. Good luck with finding it!
I went to an FYE in Atlanta to look for Memento once. They didn’t have it. Also, Titanic wasn’t available until recently. So not everything….
