  1. There was a hiphop opera a while ago, but I have to say it was really bad. Still, the idea is nice and if executed right could be good :)

    • “Hip-hopera” is actually a genre fusion of rap and opera music. Yeah it IS really stupid, just the idea of it. I keep thinking of Tupac’s Resurrection (which I haven’t seen) meets Joel Schumacher’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera (which I have seen and find underrated, as a slight tangent) when I look at this monster I created. Hopefully no one looks at my blog, takes “Monday Movies of the Mind”, and takes it into “Monday Movies of Reality”. Fat chance, but it would suck.

  3. That’s a funny concept, and I can see it working.

  4. This reminded me of Carmen: A Hip Hopera. I have to say, though, if they did this, not with Tupac obviously since he’s not “available” anymore, and they did it seriously, I could see it being good.
